Current Status

As many Green Valley residents know, there is a 10-acre site off Rockville Rd. that sits vacant and has for 24 years.  This was the location of the former Falls Elementary School which was torn down by the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District, with the exception of the multi-purpose room.

After considerable discussion and encouragement from the GVLA, in 2021 Solano County purchased the site.  The GVLA believes the County will use all or some of this property for a replacement or expanded regional fire station, a fire preparation/staging area or other County and community services.

The GVLA is hoping to play a part in the County’s future development plans, and as the County’s intentions become more certain, we expect to be involved in those discussions.
